Start with the computer you have

Model names and file sizes rarely tell the whole story. We bring model weights, context-related memory and practical headroom into one calculator. You can check your current computer, compare models under the same settings and explore what a memory upgrade would unlock.

What we publish

Our practical guides explain the steps and trade-offs. Model pages show calculated memory estimates and download references. Our benchmark page separately identifies community measurements and their test conditions. We do not present estimates as measurements or claim to have personally tested every device.

Transparent assumptions

Hardware and runtimes change. A memory fit cannot guarantee speed, answer quality or compatibility. Read our methodology and editorial policy for the formulas, source checks and known limitations. The catalogue is a curated selection, not an exhaustive list of every available model.

How the site is funded

Some external hardware or provider links may be affiliate links. A qualifying purchase may earn HostingLinks a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not change the memory formula or the alphabetical ordering of model results. Paid placement, if introduced, will be labelled separately.
